Kawartha Lakes youth aged 14-24 were invited to create and submit artwork illustrating their thoughts on homelessness in our community. We are excited to showcase their incredible talent in our Youth Virtual Art Project Gallery, where you can view this year's winning pieces as well as contributions from the 2023 Mural Art Project: Enter the gallery here: APCH YOUTH VIRTUAL ART GALLERY

The Youth Virtual Art Project honors the memory of Jessica Joy and aims to raise awareness about youth homelessness. This initiative helps young people gain a deeper understanding of homelessness and learn where to find support.

Art was Jessica's passion and a therapeutic outlet that allowed her to express herself in various forms. She always dreamed of having an art studio to teach classes - a dream she, unfortunately, could not realize.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jami Joy for her generous donation to the 2024 Youth Virtual Art Project in memory of her daughter, Jessica Joy. We also thank the Kawartha Art Gallery for their significant contributions, which made this project possible. Special thanks go to Christina Dedes for her graphic art expertise and contributions.

With your support, our goal is to help as many people who are experiencing a housing crisis as possible.
